Why am I on Medium? I have a secret! I Challenge You.
If my writing is for me, why am I on Medium?
Writing in a journal with no one to share it with has a limited effect for me. It’s very exciting to share secret parts of me with the Medium community. Inside my brain, I’m many people all rolled up into one. Maybe I’ve experienced what I’ve written about, and maybe I haven’t.
MAYBE I WANT TO.
The bonus of being on Medium is that maybe one or more people will like what I wrote. If they comment, I learn from it. Sometimes I have mini-orgasmic feelings run up and down my spine.
Another bonus is that I receive a few dollars for writing my secrets. That money may increase and it’s acceptable if it doesn’t. I may get my act together and organize my secret stories.
I’m not sure what all my secrets are yet. They pop out of my head at unexpected times mostly when I’m in the middle of writing. Those secrets are unexpressed thoughts, semi-conscious thoughts, desires, fantasies, opinions, perceptions, judgments, and dreams.
